On October 8th I was in prayer. I was praying about the
ministry and the work we have been called to do in the
area. Dr. Alveda kings visit was only a couple of days
away. As soon as I began to pray for her success and safety I
saw her with a large sledge hammer and she hit a huge wall at
the bottom. The wall preceded to crack from the bottom and
spread across the face of the wall. Behind the wall was water.
The words smashing success then were
impressed upon my heart by the holy spirit.
I am not from England and the phrase is not in my normal
repartee of words but I knew what I heard from God but it only
made me think that it was me responding to the vision. The
argument of coarse I had was that I don't use that phrase and
I know God has never spoke that way to me. (Is the Garden of
Eden in London?). On October 9th I was sitting in the chair in
deep meditation(worry) about the campaign and all of the
details concerning Dr. Alveda Kings visit. My wife saw me and
was reminded of what God told her to show me that day. While
in deep meditation(worry) at the time when I was trying to
figure out why I saw the wall and why the phrase "smashing"
she handed me the poem she read that day that was to be given
to me.
DON'T QUIT
There is a great wall
surrounding each of us
invisible, yet firm
each brick solidly joined
blocking the light
challenging us to dream
to believe in things unseen
to dare reach for things unreachable
The wall is unyielding
splattered with the blood and sweat
of those who dared
cemented stronger
by those who quit
It has shattered the dreams
of the most optimistic
Yet the strength of this wall is an illusion
destroyed by unwavering faith
each brick giving way
to a ray of hope
The more you persevere
the more it crumbles before you
Standing on your faith
enables you
To stand triumphantly in the light
Where you discover
it is the fear of failure
that darkens the minds
of those without faith
It closes with this quote on the opposite page- The block of
granite which was an obstacle in the path of the weak, becomes
a steppingstone in the path of the strong.
-Carlyle (1797-1881)
I showed Dr. King the poem when she arrived. I said to her,
Hey I am not thinking about quitting but God did give me the
poem. Well Nov. 6th about 10:00pm I surely understood the
poem a lot more and it's meaning.
The wall was just cracked, it's got to come DOWN!!
Not only Don't Quit the quest for the
assembly but Don't quit going to every place
you can to get your message out. You are still to keep
campaigning. 2009? "Its On Now"
